Frank Gelb starts promoting at Norris Theater in Norristown, Pennsylvania

1976

Frank Gelb begins promoting two shows a week at Boardwalk Hall, back when it was known as Convention Hall.

1981

Frank Gelb creates a weekly variety show featuring headliners in casino showrooms, including Bobby Rydell and Chubby Checker, called “Atlantic City Alive.” The program is broadcasted from Resorts Casino Hotel on Ted Turner’s Atlanta-based WTBS-TV nationwide.

1983

Frank Gelb works on Pavarotti’s first nonoperatic concert in the United States. After one concert, Gelb and his promotion company begin work with Pavarotti wordwide.

1992

Frank Gelb teams-up with the Atlantic City Casino Association to present Luciano Pavarotti with an 80-piece symphony orchestra at Boardwalk Hall.

1999

GELB PROMOTIONS sign an exclusive agreement with operatic superstar Andrea Bocelli. They bring the Italian singer to the United States for a nation wide tour.

2000

Gelb Promotions produces and promotes Andrea Bocelli’s famed Liberty State Park concert at The Statue of Liberty. The performance was filmed by PBS Television and done in honor of every immigrant who has dreamed of making a life in America, and this fulfilling an old dream of Andrea’s father who had passed away several months prior to the performance.

2002

Gelb Promotions produces and promotes Andrea Bocelli’s North American tour in support of the record “Sentimento”. The tour is Bocelli’s most successful tour to date and one of the highest grossing tours in the United States in 2002.

2005

Under the promotional guidance of Gelb Promotions, Andrea Bocelli films his first all-popular-music special at Lake Las Vegas for PBS Great Performances. The TV special titled "Under the Desert Sky" launched what is now considered Bocelli’s most beloved popular music repertoire.

2008

Gelb Promotions produces and films Israeli Cantor and Broadway star Dudu Fisher’s first concert special. The show is filmed at the ancient archeological amphitheater in Beit Sha’an Israel, and launches Dudu Fisher’s touring career in America. The television special also wins a Telly Award.

2009

Itzhak Perlam’s Live from the Fiddler’s House – Gelb Producers promotes the revival of Perlman’s exploration of klezmer music at Mizner Park in South Florida. This is the first performance of it’s kind in almost a decade for Perlman, and features giants of the genere including Andy Statman, Hankus Netsky, Lorin Sklamberg, Frank London, and more.

Gelb creates & produces films and promotes “Hitman: David Foster & Friends.” The show which features mega-talents like Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, and more, quickly becomes the most successful show in PBS Television history.

Gelb Producers helps Andrea Bocelli realize a dream by performing a purely operatic repertoire with no amplification at Carnegie Hall with the New York Philharmonic. The show is conducted by famed Maestro Asher Fisch who also presented the guitar and composition wizard, Trey Anastasio with the NY Phil the night directly prior to Bocelli’s performance.

Gelb co-produces and promotes Andrea Bocelli’s My Christmas PBS Television special featuring Reba McEntire, Natalie Cole, Mary J. Blige and The Muppets. The show and album are the tenor’s first Holiday offerings.

2010

Bruce Gelb helps produce and promotes "Hitman Returns" with 15-time Grammy winning producer and songwriter, David Foster. The show is filmed before a sold out crowd at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Lead by Foster, guests include, Seal, Donna Summer, Martina McBride, Earth, Wind & Fire, Natalie Cole, and many more.

Gelb Productions produces and co-promotes Fedstock at Mizner Park in South Florida to raise funds for The Jewish Federation. The two-day festival features Dudu Fisher on night one and Matisyahu on the second. Combined sales from the event raise over $175k for Jewish Federation programs.

2011

Bruce Gelb & Adam Weinberg produces and promotes singer-songwriter Matisyahu’s first acoustic tour in theaters across the Southeast United States. The tour includes the 2nd highest grossing event at the Arsht Center in Miami (after Jerry Seinfeld) and brings together old and young Matisyahu fans together. The shows lead to a follow-up acoustic album and continued acoustic-show touring from Matisyahu.

2012

Gelb Promotions launches Andrea Bocelli’s first ever Valentines Day themed tour. The concerts prove to be an incredible success artistically and in terms of ticket sales. Bocelli’s Valentines themed tour each February has grown every year since.

2013

Gelb Promotions is awarded recognition for their role in Andrea Bocelli’s “Gold” status for his Passione album. Gelb’s touring with Bocelli for the album marks some of the tenor’s highest grossing shows of his career at the time, and presents fans with a growing repertoire of love standards.

2018

Gelb Productions promotes and helps produce Heather Headley’s “Broadway My Way” tour of major theaters on the East Coast. Heather is a Tony and Grammy winner, and R&B hitmaker. She played Nala in the original cast of The Lion King on Broadway, won a Tony for her role in Aida, and the Laurence Olivier Award nominee for her star turn in "The Bodyguard" musical.

2021

Gelb Productions launches Melophy.com a virtual music and dance teaching platform developed during the Covid-19 lock downs. Unlike other virtual platforms, lessons are taught live with complete integration for students between the video stream, lesson notes & chats, lesson recordings, and multiple camera angles.

Gelb Productions returns to the road with Andrea Bocelli, promoting one of the tenors most successful tours in history on the heals of Covid-19. The tour playes 22 shows in 21 cities across America. The tour makes Bocelli the 3rd most successful touring act in the United States for 2021 and Gelb Productions the 3rd most successful promoter in the United States for 2021.
